Do you remember the time when Stefano shared with us his daily essentials? Well, it’s now Andrea’s turn to be uncovered. Who better than our co-founders, and brothers, can speak better about the insides, the details of Wood’d. But don’t get us wrong, they can look alike, but still have different stories to tell. Ciao Andrea, describe yourself in ten words.
I founded Wood’d and I am a naive entrepreneur and a cold dreamer.
Three things that inspire you?
Nature, contradictions and handmade stuff.
One place everyone should visit?
Lake Como, I’ve been living here for 5 years now. It’s a wonderful place with incredible landscapes. It allows me to properly recover every time I need, hiking on mountains or swimming in the lake.
Two things you love to do in your spare time?
Reading books of adventures I could never live. Trying living them.
One achievement you will always remember?
I always loved designing and trying to produce my ideas in the best way possible. The real goal with Wood’d was to be able to sell them. I will never forget first time exhibiting at Pitti Uomo, where buyers wanted our cases for their stores all over the world, it was an incredible feeling.
Describe your personal and professional life with five objects.
Challenge accepted 🙂 Some of them are my life’s obsessions, plus some new ones. I’ve also included some details regarding my daily life at Wood’d.
#01 – My wetsuit
My wetsuit. I’m passionate about wakesurf, surf and wakeboard, a 4:3 saves my life every time I want to do it when water is still too cold.
#02 – My Selvedge Jeans
Selvedge Denim. It’s very fascinating to see how a garment fades according to the way you wear it. The New Standard from A.P.C is part of my daily uniform.
#03 – My favorite color
Blue, the color. I never deeply understood why I’m so attracted to this color.
#04 – Wood’d Packaging
The Packaging of Wood’d cases. It took us a lot of effort and imagination to design this packaging. It’s not just a wooden box, it becomes a useful iPhone stander. Magic!
#05 – Wood
I shouldn’t even say how much i like using wood. I dig the texture, the smell, veins and splinters. A love story!
