Pietro Cocco, about the life that lies behind a still shot.
We are super excited to share this with you. We’ve been following Pietro Cocco‘s work for a while now. And we finally have him here, straight to the High Five Club. Pietro is a photographer delivering colorful and playful still life shots to various brands and editorial projects around the world. Same as us: he’s proudly based in Milan, and likewise, he’s hell serious about what he does. So cheer up Pietro, glad to have you here!
Ciao Pietro, you have only a few words to describe yourself. What would you say?
Still life photographer, director, cumbia music enthusiast ?.
Three things that inspire you?
Paintings, Traveling, Food.
One place everyone should visit?
Jameos Del Agua in Lanzarote.
Two things you love to do in your spare time?
Chilling at the park, going to restaurants.
One achievement you will always remember?
The very first time I’ve travelled overseas for work.
Now, we have asked Pietro to picture 5 objects and to describe himself through them. Trust us when we say it’s not an easy game to play. But Pietro’s work is often based on daily goods and hard-to-find objects. And we knew he would have been a rocker of the High Five.
#01 – The products that I buy for photography purposes that always end up becoming souvenirs from my travels.
#02 – ‘The 32” Ruler’, one of my favorite books. The way Gossage treats landscape photography in this series is brilliant.
#03 – My girlfriend’s ceramics collection “Assemble”.
#04 – I bought this small statue for very little money while helping my friend Filippo Minelli with his project around Florida.
#05 – My travel companion. In the last years I’ve been using it constantly and I feel bad now that there’re only 2 empty pages left.
